I guess the main takeaway is really that performance based forks of the kernel aren't necessarily more performant than the mainline.Custom kernels are still as useful as ever for distro customization and pre-release feature testing.When I saw this, I thought it eliminated the need to patch the kernel somehow... Which would be weird.
